The Chatsworth Avenue School PTA

Welcome Chatsworth Families!

The Chatsworth Avenue School PTA is a dedicated partner in our children's education. We advocate for students and their families, raise funds to meet school needs, and foster a strong, collaborative community among parents, teachers, and school leadership. Through engaging programs, enriching clubs, and fun events, we work to support and strengthen the Chatsworth Avenue School experience for every student.

How the PTA Supports Chatsworth

What We Do

The Chatsworth PTA is at the heart of our school communityβ€”connecting families, supporting students, and enriching the educational experience at every grade level. We help fund and organize a wide range of initiatives, from teacher grants and cultural arts programming to STEM enrichment, school supplies, and author visits. We also bring the community together through events like the Book Fair, STEM Fest, and International Fair. Whether it’s enhancing classrooms, supporting the library, or hosting after-school clubs, our mission is to ensure every student at Chatsworth has the opportunity to thrive.

How We Spend Money

Through a variety of fundraising efforts each year, the Chatsworth PTA is proud to support a wide range of impactful programs, events, and resources for our school community. From enrichment activities and teacher grants to student clubs and community events, our funding helps bring learning to life. Take a look at how our funds are typically allocated during a standard (non-COVID) school yearβ€”it’s your generosity that makes it all possible.

Join Us on Aug. 27th at One of Our Summer Socials!

We hope you’ll join us for one of our favorite traditionsβ€”the Chatsworth Summer Socialsβ€”on Wednesday, August 27th:

  • 9:00–9:45 AM: Kindergarten Ice-Pop Party/ Supply Drop-off at the Dinosaur Playground

  • 10:00–10:45 AM: Grades 1-5 Hangout on the Blacktop

Summer Socials are a fun chance for students to reconnect, make new friends, and decorate the blacktop with welcoming chalk messages for the first day of school.

To help ease the first day, kindergarten families are invited (but not required) to drop off labeled school supplies at the Ice-Pop Party using clearly marked tables.

Registration is Open for the 2025-26 Boys & Girls Club After-School Program at Chatsworth

If you have questions about the registration process, or need more information, contact Cynthia Davis at cdavis@bgcnr.org or call 914-235-3736.
